Angling on Lac du Der

When you discover the Lake of DER - Chantecoq, you discover the vastest stopping tank of Europe of a surface of 4800 ha and an immense field of adventure for the fisherman. Intended for the regulation of the flow of the Marne, the levels are high at the end of spring and low at the beginning of the winter. With the end of the summer, the banks are largely discovered, it is the best moment for the fishing of all the species of fish and the place is really exceptional. Monstrous pikes, voracious Poles, combative Pike perches combined with a white fish profusion among which the tenches and the carps often reach weights records, are likely to satisfy the most demanding fishermen.

Classified 2nd category, private field, the lake of DER - Chantecoq profits from a particular regulation thanks to its statute of large interior lake. Fishing is authorized there all the year, except when the level of water is too low. This temporary closing is generally of short duration and the fishermen can continue to practise their favorite sport on the basins North (175 ha) and South (300 ha) where the water level is constant . Fishing of pike is prohibited during specific closing.

Of international fame for the fishing of carp, the Lake of DER - Chantecoq offers several courses of fishing to carp of night, the density of this fish is very important and the many catches often reach impressive weights 20 kg are very often exceeded.

The silure is developing and reproducing in the lake. Certain specimens exceeding the 2m were located at the time of the abrasion.

Angling near the lake in the rivers and channels


The Marne obviously is to be recommended but also Saulx river and Ornain river for all the forms of trout angling. The channels of the Marne in the Rhin and the Marne in the Saone are also privileged places of fishing.
We distribute the fishing permit of Hotu de St-Remy or Gardon de Larzicourt.

Weekend package: angling

You will arrive Friday evening "Au Brochet du Lac", to 6 km of the lake of Der Chantecoq. This lake, vast water level of 4800 ha is the largest artificial lake of Europe and represents the paradise of the fisherman.

Calms its water, as well as the size of the catches in fact an extremely required place of fishing. On 77 km of banks are intercalated ports and beaches, forests and meadows and corners quiet... This privileged site is besides in Autumn and Winter a halt for the migratory birds on their long road towards the south. You will go saturdays morning to the lake of DER to track poles, pike perches, pikes and silures.

For the person who accompanies but does not fish, a VTT will be placed at the disposal for a discovery of the rich Champagne of its architecture with half-timbering.

Price: 250 €/2 people.
Including 2 nights, 2 dinners in table d’hotes, the breakfasts, a boat for 2 people with lifejackets, oars, weight anchor, 15 small fishes alive per fisherman and day, 1 VTT for accompanying which does not fish.
Does not include: the transport of the material if you do not have fastener remorque (from 22 to 48 € according to the place per day), the picnic on request: 10 €, engine and/or battery on request: 17 € /day each one, angler’s permits.

Angling with guide

You will be accompanied on the stations according to the level by the lake.
Pricef: 130 € /day 1or 2 fishermen; 75€ 1/2day for1 or2 fishermen

supplying baits and lures useful.
Including transport, the boat, the electric-powered boat, the battery, the lifejackets, oars, weight anchor, scoop. Not including Angling cards and picnic  for one angling day
